Today marks 8 years, since Susan & I registered British Baby Box, and as Mums of 6 children between us, we feel incredibly proud.
Back then, Susan shared a list of business ideas with me and one of them was the Baby Box…. “Put my baby in a cardboard box…. that will never take off” I said.
Well, the idea did take off and we have now provided over 500,000 Baby Boxes worldwide. Our Baby Boxes, aren’t ‘any old box’, they are ethically/sustainably sourced and adhere to the first ever British standard – BS11130:2021.
Throughout the last 8 years, we have survived running our own business, whilst looking after our children. We even continued to trade throughout the entire pandemic and didn’t even ask the government for any help!!
British Baby Box has continued to grow…. We now also provide Moses baskets and over 20 different sized mattresses to support Baby Banks/Charities across the UK.
We also provide our Baby Boxes to the Scottish Government, various Councils and NHS Trusts. These organisations share our passion that all babies deserve the best start in life!
Having our own business has been challenging, we’ve had our ups and downs, but today we celebrate our companies growth, we celebrate being multi-award winning and we celebrate making our friends, family and especially our children, feel incredibly proud of what we have achieved.
Thanks to all the babies out there and to everyone who have supported us on our journey so far…. Its now time to celebrate!!!!
